As 2016 is coming to a close, it’s a great time to review what you’ve been doing this year.

Especially when it comes to taking a good look what can make you more successful (or less successful).
And if you have an interest in achieving financial success, you might have developed some habits that successful people share.

Perhaps you’ve even gone further and explored a few of the moneymaking options to make even more to reach your financial goals faster.

Whether it’s a highly profitable habit or a new venture that could put more zeroes into your bank account, here’s a checklist that you can use to make sure that you’re on track to success!

This checklist is in order of how close you are to success. So start tallying your score count. Any of the below pointers describe you, you score a point. At the end, the higher your score (upon 10), the closer you are to success!

Got it? Ready? Let’s go!

1. You’re Intellectually Stimulated Everyday

You find something in your daily life that really gets you thinking. Whether it’s something related to your work, or your hobby – getting your brain working is a surefire path to success!

Because the more you use your intellectual abilities, the more novel and creative ways you can come up with to reach what you want in life.

The alternative is scary… if you’re only doing menial and dreary tasks every day, then your brain is literally wasting away. Stimulation is vital to your success!

2. You’ve Balanced Work And Life

You don’t need me to tell you that 80-hour work weeks are bad… even if you’re a workaholic who loves grinding more than leisure! That’s because you’ll slowly but surely burn out.

After all, what’s the point of working so hard if you only get a day each week to spend with your loved ones?

The opposite is true, too! Too much leisure means that you could be leaving money on the table… money that could easily be in your bank account.

So, finding work-life balance is a definite key to success. If you feel you have the right mix of business and pleasure, score one on the board!

3. You’re Proud Of What You See In The Mirror

Sometimes, being proud of yourself is more than just being comfortable with yourself. It’s about reaching your goals.

Are you able to complete the tasks that you’ve set for yourself? Have you achieved what you set out to do? Are you closer to those financial milestones?

If you have, great! You’re ahead of most people. If not, keep at it and never give up, until you can say that you’re proud of who you are!

So, finding work-life balance is a definite key to success. If you feel you have the right mix of business and pleasure, score one on the board!

4. Your Health Matches Up To Your Ideals

None of that money is worth a dime if you don’t have the health to enjoy it.

So, while you may be busy with work or other commitments, remember this rule: take care of your body first, and let your health be the springboard for other matters in life.

Exercise, eat well, sleep well – these things go a long way so that you have the health to enjoy your wealth!

5. You Look Forward To Each Day

Do you wake up every morning, ready and raring to go?

Or do you dread the next several hours, being stuck at a job you hate?

If it’s the latter, then you need to find work that really inspires you. This varies from individual to individual. Maybe your passions lie elsewhere in a different occupation. Perhaps you’re passionate about working with lesser time commitment, with more pay.

Find out what drives you.

And once you find what really inspires you, your work becomes a huge motivating factor. When you get there, people can tell – you’ll be embracing each day with open arms!

6. You’re At Peace

Most people (Singaporeans especially), worry way too much and enjoy too little. They spend several hours a day stressed out at their jobs, and even in their personal lives.

If that’s who you are, what’s the reason behind that? Are you in a job you don’t have the passion for? Or are you not earning enough?

Once you’ve identified the problem, fix it! Sometimes, the solution is more straightforward than you think. It could be as simple as a change in habit, or even an attitude adjustment.

And once this is fixed, you’ll be that much closer to being at peace.

7. You Know What Brings You Money And You Focus On Doing That

“Focus” is a precious resource.

But many of us don’t realize that, and we squander it away on things that don’t give us anything back. Such as wasting a weekend binge-watching TV shows.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you can’t do that. I’m just saying if you want to make more money, you can’t just keep doing that and expect money to fall into your lap.

You need to work for it. So what are things you spend your focus on?

I’m assuming financial success is important to you. So the next time you’re spending precious focus on something, check to see if what you’re doing actually is a step towards making money for you. If not, perhaps it’s time to switch to what’s more profitable instead!

8. You Know What Doesn’t Bring You Money And Remove Them From Your Life

Focusing on the right tasks for success is one thing, but so is removing the barriers and possible stumbling blocks that can prevent you from success.

Are you bogged down by tedious, time-wasting tasks that stop you from more important matters? If possible, delegate or out-source it!

It’ll be more than worth your while if you can free up your time to work on things that really bring in the dough for you.

9. You Engage In At Least One Profit-Generating Activity Daily

This doesn’t mean that whatever you do has to create profits immediately, but it should be at least a step towards putting more zeroes into your bank account.

A simple thing you can do: Watch a motivational video on YouTube every morning to kick-off your day.
After all, life is short and only have a limited time to reach our goals.

We don’t have time to waste in activities that don’t give us profit or add meaning to our lives. So, make sure that at least once a day, you’re taking a step towards your financial success!

10. Your Profit-Generating Activities Take Little Time & Earn You Tons

This is the holy grail of true success.

If you’ve reached this point in life, you’d know what I’m talking about. That’s when all the hard work you’ve put in has paid off, and you’re reaping the well-deserved fruits of your labor.

At this point, your workload is lesser, but you’ll be earning so much more. This gives you all the time and resources to do what you really want to do in life.

Maybe it’s your dream to spend more time to spend with your family. Or it’s a passion of yours to try a new business venture you’ve always wanted to do. Perhaps it’s a hobby that you didn’t have time for in the past.

Regardless, you’re totally free to pursue what interests you have, once you’re at this location in life.

I hope this checklist brings you as much insight as it did for me.

When I was first starting out and didn’t have a clue about how to take steps towards ensuring my success, this checklist helped me to figure out where I was, and where I needed to be.

If you’re ready to taste lasting success in your life, use this daily… you won’t regret it!

Here’s a little tip that’s worked out brilliantly for me. It’s an “auto income stream” that I’ve used personally to work less and earn more… and it’s been a great source of virtually passive income.

With this, I worry less about money, and I have more time to pursue my passions (such as taking my family on vacations around the world, and spending time with old friends).

I’ve recommended this to many Singaporeans, and because of it, they’re all well on their way to achieving financial success after using it!
